Australian Pet Travel Update 8/5/20

Hi All

Life in Pet Travel World continues to be pretty crazy but things are starting to settle down and there is bit less chaos than previous weeks.

Domestic News

South Australia and Tasmania continue to be our biggest headaches with only 3 flights a week in and out of Adelaide and 2 flights a weeks in and out of Launceston and even these are often blocked for Pets. Until Interstate Travel Restrictions are lifted there will be long delays getting Pets to these States.  There are also significant delays getting Pets to and from Darwin and to and from Perth. Brisbane – Melbourne sector is also very busy. Please book as early as possible if you have any Pets that need to fly Domestic so we can them booked before the space is gone. It’s pleasing to see a lot of Regional Ports are now getting some flights back.

Just a reminder that the minimum age for Pups & Kittens traveling with Qantas is 12 weeks. Virgin still accept them at 8 weeks with a Fit to Fly Certificate.

International News

Great news this week is that we can now start taking bookings again on several International Routes including Auckland, Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and the entire Qatar Network which covers most of Europe and the Middle East. Again get in quick if you have Pets ready to go, space is still very limited.
