EU Pet Import Conditions (including the UK and Switzerland)

The Rabies Vaccination still needs to be given at least 21 days before date of departure. The Titre test no longer needs to be done but we have noticed that for some reason a few Customers are having it done anyway. You do not need to give your Pet a Rabies Shot unless you are planning to bring your Pet back to Australia.

To qualify a Non- Commercial shipment your Pet must land in the EU within 5 days of yourself. Otherwise it will be considered a Commercial Shipment which means there will be additional Customs charges upon arrival. Also Commercial Shipments have greater restrictions on which Airlines can be used and which Ports your Pets can arrive at.

Previously the worming treatment had to be done at least 24 hours before flight departure. But it is now possible to this and the Final Health Check done on the day of the flight.

This means if we are shipping your Pet(s) from Adealaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney we will usually be able to offer you the choice of collecting your Pet(s) the day before the flight or on the actual day of the flight. We know this will please some of our Customers who want their Pets to stay at home as long as possible. The pick-up can take place on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or a Thursday with arrival in the EU usually being the following morning.

For Pets going from Sydney to Manchester, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Aberdeen we can also offer same day pick-ups.

For Pets traveling from Regional Areas, Tasmania and the Northern Territory to the EU we will also need to collect them the day before they leave Australia so we have enough time to get them on their connecting flight.
